The Fidelis Partnership (TFP) has announced the appointments of Suzanne Wells as Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Erik Manning as Head of Ceded Reinsurance.
Effective July 2025, Wells will be based in London. She joins TFP from Arch Insurance International, where she serves as Deputy UK COO, overseeing key UK functions such as operational excellence, underwriting operations, and strategic portfolio management.
Prior to that, Wells spent almost a decade at Aviva, most recently as Operations, Governance & Transformation Lead. She also served as Financial Reporting & Communications Manager at AXA.
Manning will begin his role in April, based in Bermuda. He will collaborate closely with Doug Somerville, Head of Capacity and Ceded Reinsurance Placement, with a focus on maintaining strategic relationships, capital markets, retro, and index products.
With 30 years of experience in the reinsurance market, Manning joins TFP from BMS Re, where he was Director.
Previously, he served as Head of ILS at Miller, Co-CEO at Peak Capital Ltd. (Bermuda), and CEO of Lutece Holdings Ltd. (Bermuda). He has also held Managing Director positions at Aon, Markel Re, and Guy Carpenter.
Charles Mathias, Deputy Chairman at TFP, said, “We are delighted to announce Suzanne’s appointment as our COO. Suzanne’s wealth of experience in driving transformational change will enable us to support our growth strategy with the right technology and operational capabilities, helping us work even smarter and faster when delivering excellence to our clients and brokers.”
Richard Coulson, Deputy Group CUO and CEO of Insurance, said, “Ceded Reinsurance is one of TFP’s core strategic capabilities that differentiates our proposition from that of conventional MGUs. We are pleased to welcome Erik and his wealth of industry contacts and experience, and his appointment will strengthen our already deep relationships with both counterparties and brokers.”
Wells commented, “I’m hugely excited to join a business as dynamic as TFP. Operational excellence is an important part of their reputation for true market leadership, and I look forward to playing my part in helping ensure TFP has the right technology and infrastructure in place to empower their underwriters to maintain this position.”
Manning said, “Having worked extensively with TFP as a broker, I know first-hand the quality of the team and the regard in which the business is held. I greatly look forward to getting started.”
